ALLA’s Partnership with Georgia Innocence Project

ALLA members worked over two Saturdays, in March and August, to scan files for the Georgia Innocence Project, enabling GIP staff to more easily access case information and search documents as they investigate old cases in an effort to free the wrongfully imprisoned.  It was a time-consuming process involving lots of scattered and fragile paper, but volunteers completed scanning of one entire case file – affectionately nicknamed “Box 1.”

ALLA Participates in Teal Trot

ALLA members supported the 2015 Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance Teal Trot 5K Walk/Run held at Piedmont Park on Saturday, September 12, 2015.  Members joined Team Nancy Johnson through sponsorship or by registering for the walk/run.  ALLA celebrates the life and memory of Nancy and honors ovarian cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, families and friends.
